European Gay Ski Week

Skiing & Snowboarding Groups

Joining our Skiing & Boarding groups from Sunday to Friday (with Tuesday off) is a great way to get to know and ski with other EGSW guests and to discover the 3 Vallées domain

These are not lessons. The groups are for very good skiers only. You MUST be able to ski a black run in all conditions (you don’t have to enjoy it, but you must be able to do it, if the need arises).

The groups are not all the same, they cater for how you like to ski – very fast, fast, or more leisurely – and how you like to lunch (lunch is not included).

HOW YOU LIKE TO SKI?

SUPERFAST: Very advanced skiers or boarders only. (Do not join this group unless you are in the top 10% of all skiers/boarders)

FAST: Open to all, you will cover big verticals at speed throughout the week.

STEADY: Open to all, you will cover all areas but generally at a more relaxed pace.

HOW YOU LIKE TO LUNCH?

GOURMET: Expect to spend an average of €40.00 per person for lunch.

SELF SERVICE: Cater for a budget of under €20.00 per person for lunch.

TIMETABLE

The groups will meet as usual at 9.45am for registration.

You will have 2 full days (6 hours) between 10am to 4pm on Sunday plus an additional day on either Tuesday or Thursday (depending on your group) and 3 days from 10am to 2pm where you finish at your lunch stop.

As usual Tuesday will be the EGSW Representatives day off and an opportunity for you to ski with new found or old friends.

JOINING A GROUP

The charge to join the Skiing & Boarding groups is €30 per day.

If you haven’t already booked your place, speak to an EGSW representative at the Skiing & Boarding group’s desk at the welcome reception in The Forum – Val Thorens

Alternatively, you can come to the meeting point in the morning and if there is availability you can join a group just for the day. Please check at the Skiing & Boarding groups desk on Saturday to see if there will be any daily ‘walk up’ availability.
